FAQ

The practical questions, answered.

Everything about getting to Bend and how the three days work. If yours isn’t here, ask me directly.

What will I get out of it?

Ideas you can use the week you’re back, from the sessions and the conversations around them, and a group of founders at your stage to call afterward. The sixteen in Bend also become founding members.

Who else is going?

Invites are going out now, and we’ll share who’s in once people have signed up. Everyone is a founder or C-level operator at a brand that sells physical products, and every applicant is carefully vetted.

Where is it, and how do I get there?

Bend, Oregon. Fly into Redmond (RDM), 25 to 30 minutes from the venue, with nonstops from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Phoenix and Salt Lake City. Rent a car or take a rideshare; we do not run airport transfers.

Where do I stay?

In our room block at the venue. Lodging isn’t included in the price; once you’re approved, you get the link to book at the group rate. If you want to come early or stay longer, tell us and we’ll try to get you the same rate for the extra nights.

What is the weather like in late May?

Days around 65°F, mornings around 40°F, and about a one-in-five chance of a wet day. Bring layers for early tee times.

How good at golf do I need to be?

Not very. Any handicap works, and the first round is a scramble, so you’re playing as a team. If you play, you fit.

Do I need to bring clubs?

Bring yours if you like. If you’d rather not fly with them, tell us after you’re approved and we’ll have rentals waiting.

What should I wear?

Golf clothes on the course (collared shirts, no denim), and whatever you are comfortable in for the talks and dinners. Nothing formal.

Who is speaking?

Operators who have solved the problems on the topic list, picked from what applicants say they need. We’ll name each one here as they’re confirmed.

How does approval work?

Every applicant is carefully vetted, and you’ll hear back within 48 hours. If it’s a yes, the email has a $500 deposit link that holds your seat. The $2,500 balance is due by March 15, 2027.

What if my plans change?

Refundable in full until March 21, 2027, half until April 20, 2027, and not after that. You can also transfer your seat to another founder who fits.

Food allergies or dietary needs?

Tell us after you are approved and we will pass it to the kitchen for every meal.

Are there sponsors?

A small number of partners help make the trip work. Partnering doesn’t buy a talk, and nobody pitches the room. At most, one person from a partner joins one dinner.

What happens to my application details?

We keep them to review your application and plan the trip. We never sell or share the list.
